Cocktail Meatballs
- 1/2 lb of ground beef
- 1/2 lb of ground turkey
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tbs snipped parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 bottle (12 oz) chili sauce
- 1 jar (10 oz) grape jelly
Mix ground beef and turkey, bread crumbs, onion, milk, parsley,
salt, Worcestershire Sauce, pepper and egg. Shape into 1-inch
balls. Cook meatballs in shortening in 12-inch skillet; drain
fat. Heat chili sauce and jelly in skillet, stirring constantly
until jelly is melted. Add meatballs; stir until coated. Simmer
uncovered 30 minutes. Serve hot. Makes 5 dozen appetizers.
Company Snacks
- Two 3 oz pkg cream cheese
- 1/8 lb blue cheese
- 2 tbs celery, finely chopped
- 1 tbs onion, finely chopped
- Dash cayenne
- Salad dressing
- 1-1/2 cups nut meats, chopped
Mix all ingredients together except nut meats, with enough
salad dressing to make workable (doughy) mixture. Form into
small balls and roll in chopped nuts. Chill. Stick a pick
in each ball. Using the same mixture as above, shape into
long log, roll in chopped nut meats. Chill and serve sliced
on a tray with assorted crac.
