Asian Pork Roast
- 1 (3 to 4 pound) pork roast
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup orange marmalade
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
Place roast in crockpot. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour
over roast. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
Chili Pork Chops
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 5-6 bone-in pork chops
- Salt and pepper
Cook onions in oil until pale brown. Add garlic, Worcestershire
sauce, chili powder, water, ketchup and salt and pepper. Cover
and simmer the sauce for 10 minutes.
Arrange pork chops in crock pot, then pour sauce over the chops.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours.
Serve the sauce over mashed potatoes.
Chinese Pork Chops
- 6 pork chops, about 1-inch thick (or use pork steaks)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 to 2 cloves garlic, mashed
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Trim excess fat from pork chops and place in crockpot.
Combine brown sugar, ginger, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, salt
and pepper; pour mixture over pork chops. Cook, covered, on
LOW for 4 to 6 hours, or until tender.
Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Serve with steamed
white rice and/or Chinese noodles.
Makes 6 servings.
